Job summary

Talen Energy is seeking a Management Position responsible for Plant Chemistry/Environmental to sustain an effective chemistry program, regulatory compliance, and accurate lab operations at a nuclear facility. You will guide the Chemistry Department, manage budgets, and coordinate safety training and regulatory interfaces with external agencies.

The role requires strong leadership, deep technical knowledge in radiochemistry, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while maintaining safe,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, chemical engineering or related field or ANSI/ANS 3.1-2014 equivalents.
• Experience in Chemistry/Radiochemistry at a nuclear power plant is required.
• Experience with radiological, environmental and laboratory laws/regulations related to Chemistry/Radiochemistry in a Nuclear Power Plant is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an effective plant chemistry program and environmental compliance to protect plant components and safety.
• Oversee radiological effluent and non-radiological environmental programs and ensure accurate analytical laboratory operations.
• Lead budget planning for Chemistry Department and coordinate training and staffing programs.
