Job summary

Westlake Chemical seeks an experienced Natrium Environmental Manager to lead Health, Safety and Environmental activities at the Natrium, WV facility. This leadership role works within PEM to ensure compliance, drive continuous environmental improvement, and collaborate with site manufacturing units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related field.
• 10 years progressive environmental, operations, or engineering experience, preferably in chemical manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations as applicable to petrochemical plants and general manufacturing.
• Strong collaboration, facilitation, organization, interpersonal and communication skills, with a good working knowledge of related databases and applications, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Possess or Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential from the Transportation Security Administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible and engaged leadership to the Natrium Environmental Team.
• Promote collaboration with manufacturing stakeholders to drive site improvement plans and compliance of HSE programs.
• Ensure regulatory permitting, monitoring, reporting, and safety compliance are met.
• Assimilate internal data relative to environmental compliance and manage action plans for continuous compliance.
• Develop and implement proactive environmental management systems and compliance programs.
• Coordinate aggressive action plans to move the site back into compliance for EPA/WVDEP requirements.
• Perform duties as directed by the Sr. HSE Manager.
