Job summary

Ambius, Inc. in Oakland, CA, is seeking a Plant Care Specialist to visit client sites daily and care for plants—grooming, watering, pruning, and debris removal. You’ll gauge soil moisture, fertilize as needed, and ensure displays stay pristine while protecting surrounding areas from moisture damage.

You’ll also assist on installations, holiday decor, and maintain scenting/air equipment. A valid driver’s license and plant-care interest are required; plant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for plants is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence.
• Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed.
• Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills — follow instructions on product labels.
• Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us).
• Customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer sites daily and provide plant care by grooming, watering, pruning, and debris removal.
• Groom, rotate, and gauge soil moisture with a soil probe; fertilize as needed.
• Prevent damage to floors, walls, carpet, and furniture from moisture.
• Keep plants and containers clean and free of dust and debris.
• Assist on plantscape installations and holiday decoration projects.
• Maintain scenting and air purification equipment as necessary.
• Drive a service van/truck in urban and rural settings; climb ladders safely.
