Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Plant Automation Specialist for a dairy manufacturing facility. The role focuses on supporting and optimizing PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, and networked control systems to improve reliability and efficiency.

You will troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance automation across a highly automated production line, collaborating with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to lead automation upgrades and capital projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial controls and automation experience.
• Strong Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Wonderware, Rockwell, ControlNet, and DeviceNet platforms.
• Knowledge of IEC 61131-3 programming environments such as RSLogix 5000.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for process control systems and automation equipment.
• Configure and maintain PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and VFDs.
• Support implementation of new automation projects and control upgrades.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives including alarm management and operator interface optimization.
• Maintain process control servers, networks, and system integrations.

Are you a controls and automation professional looking to make a direct impact on manufacturing operations? Our client, a leading food manufacturing organization, is seeking a Plant Automation Specialist to support and optimize process control systems across a highly automated production facility.

In this role, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, and networked control systems while partnering closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams. This position offers the opportunity to lead automation improvements, support capital projects, and play a key role in plant reliability and efficiency.
