Job summary

Agropur in Jerome, Idaho, is seeking an Automation Manager to oversee daily operation of automated systems and electrical equipment within our facility. Lead and coach maintenance teams, drive process improvements, and ensure safety standards are met while coordinating with engineering and production.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, has at least five years in a leadership role with automated electrical systems, and strong project management skills to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum five years in a leadership role.
• Experience with automated electrical systems in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate workers engaged in automation of equipment.
• Drive training and coaching to ensure safety standards and incident prevention.
• Communicate with maintenance to keep equipment at high reliability and reduce downtime.
• Perform installations and repairs on electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls.
• Collaborate with plant, corporate and client personnel to address day-to-day production needs.
• Apply electrical and mechanical experience on plant projects and Capex initiatives.
• Support Engineering with automation projects and electrical improvements.
• Coordinate with internal maintenance for non-electrical repair tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair building and production equipment promptly.
• Lead automation process improvements in line with continuous improvement goals.
