Job summary

Shurtape Technologies, LLC is seeking an Automation and Controls Engineering Manager to lead maintenance and electrical systems at the Hickory Complex. You will oversee plant electrical infrastructure upgrades, control networks, and capital projects, guiding a team of automation technicians to ensure reliable, safe operation.

This role requires a BS/EE or equivalent, 10+ years in manufacturing, and deep experience with HMI and PLC programming, electrical design, and project leadership.

Qualifications

• BS/EE or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience with electrical controls.
• 7+ years’ experience with HMI and PLC programming.
• Experience with AC/DC drive and motion control systems.
• Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the activities of all automation technicians in the Hickory Complex.
• Support manufacturing and maintenance teams in troubleshooting electrical and controls issues and machine optimization.
• Provide leadership on capital projects and PLC, drives, HMI network, wiring, and documentation.
• Lead plant masterplan development for electrical systems, controls, and automations.
