Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking a Controls Automation Engineer to lead electrical and automation initiatives across multiple production sites.

You will troubleshoot, optimize, and implement capital projects, partnering closely with plant teams to advance automation strategies and control systems. The role requires hands-on engineering, strong PLC and HMI skills, and experience with Siemens and Allen-Bradley platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience
• Good organizational, computer, analytical, and leadership skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong PLC knowledge: Siemens TIA Portal; Allen Bradley RSLogix 5/500/5000
• Familiar with S7-1200/1500 and Compact/ControlLogix hardware
• Knowledge of PID control, motor control, and VFDs
• HMI and panel/field devices troubleshooting
• Industrial networks and data analysis basics
• Reading P&ID diagrams and electrical schematics

Responsabilités

• Directs and supports electricians, junior AEs in troubleshooting electrical problems
• Supports process improvement by automation tasks and resource management
• Manages capital projects from electrical scope, budgeting, installation, and commissioning
• Develops electrical standards and best practices across divisions
• Drives process conformity from a controls perspective
• Supports 24/7 manufacturing operations including on-call and weekend work
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to implement capital improvements
