Job summary

SNI Financial is seeking an Accounting Supervisor for our Yazoo City plant. You will lead the monthly close, oversee product costing, inventory accounting, and financial reporting, and partner with plant leadership and corporate accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 1+ year supervisory experience.
• Manufacturing or plant accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of general accounting, financial close, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee monthly close activities for the plant.
• Prepare and review journal entries for product costing, turnaround costs, production, transfers, and costs.
• Analyze production and transfer volumes ensuring accurate accounting.
• Perform product costing and related reconciliations.
• Prepare month-end financial statements and schedules.
• Analyze plant costs and variances and report findings to leadership.
• Compute inventory costs and conduct related analyses.
• Reconcile finished goods inventory and shipments.
• Support plant operations with cost reporting and financial insights.
• Collaborate with internal controls to maintain SOX compliance and audits.
