UGI Utilities, Inc. is seeking an Accountant I - Plant to maintain records for plant balances, release work orders in SAP, and support monthly closes. The role requires solid GAAP knowledge, strong Excel skills, and precise reporting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Familiarity with regulatory accounting practices and FERC accounting preferred.
• Strong computer skills and experience with ERP accounting systems.
• Ability to independently research and resolve issues and communicate findings clearly.

Responsabilités

• Monthly Close: prepare journal entries and reconciliations; document SOX controls; support PowerPlan close processes.
• Evaluate Capital Projects (CWIP/Jobbing/PS&I) and monitor balances; coordinate with project managers.
• Release Orders: process SAP releases for projects; ensure DOA compliance and project nature; setup cost allocations.
• Record Retirements & Unitize Projects: capture completion notices; retire assets and update plant records.
• Process Improvements: test system developments; identify opportunities to reduce risk and manual work.
