Job summary

PACCAR Inc. seeks a General Accounting Manager to lead plant accounting operations, maintain internal controls, and drive profitability and operational excellence at Kenworth Truck Company.

You will manage accounting functions, compliance, cost analysis, and financial reporting with a focus on manufacturing cost accounting. The role requires a bachelor’s in accounting plus CPA/CMA or MBA, and 5–10 years in accounting, with leadership experience and SAP familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA certification is required.
• 5-10 years of accounting experience, with a strong manufacturing and cost accounting background.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage plant general accounting functions and internal controls.
• Oversee SOX documentation and testing across departments.
• Coordinate interim audits, cost standards, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Support plant initiatives and system implementations.
• Prepare timely financial reports, cost analyses, and forecasts.
• Manage MRO accounts payable and sales/use tax compliance.
• Oversee payroll processing and fixed asset tracking.
• Build a high-performing accounting team through leadership.
• Maintain cross-functional communication with plant management.
