Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is looking for a summer Accounting Intern at our Burns Harbor location. This internship offers hands-on experience in corporate accounting at a Fortune 500 company, focusing on cost information and decision support.

You will prepare and analyze records for GAAP, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, and support Shared Services and plant accounting projects. Applicants must be enrolled in a BS in Accounting/Finance and be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

Enrollment in a BS program in Accounting, Finance, or other Business-related field.
Must have completed at least sophomore year by summer 2027.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to US GAAP.
Prepare journal entries and perform financial statement reconciliations.
Recommend, develop, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
May include project work in Shared Services and plant accounting inventories, and overall process improvement work.
Various other duties as needed to support the business.
