Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is offering a summer Accounting Intern position at Burns Harbor. You will assist with cost accounting data, analysis, and reporting to support decision-making at a Fortune 500 company.

You will prepare journal entries, reconcile financial statements, and contribute to process improvements in shared services and plant accounting, with potential for future full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field.
• Must have completed at least sophomore year by summer 2027.
• Authorized to work legally in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records and financial statements for accuracy and GAAP conformance.
• Prepare journal entries and perform financial statement reconciliations.
• Recommend and develop solutions to business and financial problems; may work on Shared Services and plant accounting projects.
• Support management with cost information reporting for decision-making.

This internship offers hands-on experience and exposure to corporate accounting at a Fortune 500 company. The Accounting Intern is responsible for accumulating, analyzing, and reporting cost information for an assigned operating area.
