Job summary

Par Health in Hobart, NY is seeking an Accountant I to provide payroll, financial and accounting support to the manufacturing site, partnering with Payroll and Hobart Operations. You will help with weekly payroll cycle for hourly and salaried employees, maintain UKG updates, prepare reports, and assist with cost and variance analysis.

The role covers accounts payable, general ledger reconciliations, fixed asset tracking, monthly close, and internal controls in line with GAAP.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting or business is required.
• 2–4 years of payroll, general accounting, finance, or plant accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and GAAP knowledge are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support weekly payroll cycle for hourly and salaried employees using UKG.
• Prepare payroll reports, attend to payroll questions, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Process accounts payable and perform general ledger reconciliations.
• Lead fixed asset tracking and inventory reconciliation.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Assist with cost and variance analysis and reporting for plant leadership.
• Maintain internal controls and assist with SOX documentation and testing.
