Job summary

Elevate Textiles seeks a Plant Accountant to support its Raeford manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Plant Controller, the role partners with operations to provide accounting support, cost analysis, and financial reporting.

On-site presence is required five days a week, with travel to other facilities as needed. The position emphasizes understanding manufacturing performance, variances, and continuous improvement initiatives within an active plant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Manufacturing cost accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Experience with ERP accounting systems preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively partner with operations and finance personnel.
• Demonstrated initiative, intellectual curiosity, and ability to investigate business issues and explain financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing performance including labor, waste, production efficiency, inventory, machine utilization, operating supplies, and other key operational metrics while investigating significant variances and supporting root cause analysis.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, monthly accruals, and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities while assisting with operational and financial reporting.
• Partner with the Plant Controller, Plant Manager, and operations leadership to understand manufacturing performance, identify operational issues, provide financial insight, and support continuous improvement efforts through regular participation in plant activities and production discussions.
• Support inventory accounting by analyzing operating supplies, packaging, dye, chemical, maintenance inventories, inventory reconciliations, and related manufacturing costs to ensure accurate financial reporting and inventory control.
• Provide financial support for purchasing, capital projects, and other plant accounting activities while collaborating with operations, engineering, supply chain, and corporate finance to achieve business objectives and perform special projects as assigned.
