Job summary

Riviana Foods Inc. in Carlisle, Arkansas seeks a Manufacturing Accountant to support accounting and financial functions across our Arkansas manufacturing operations.

This role reports to the Regional Plant Controller and partners with plant leadership to maintain accurate financial and inventory records, and to provide timely reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of hands-on manufacturing accounting experience.
• Experience with a fully integrated ERP system; SAP preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a high-performing team.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize responsibilities and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with automated reporting systems, spreadsheets, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Review and complete daily production and consumption transactions and investigate variances.
• Prepare daily and monthly inventory reports and resolve variances.
• Ensure accuracy of plant operating expense reports and monthly accounting accruals.
• Track capital expenditures and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end general ledger close activities and reconciliations.
• Assist with annual manufacturing budget and mid-year forecasts.
• Support physical inventory activities and reporting.
• Provide backup support for Accounts Payable functions and vendor setup.
