Job summary

Jobot, a well-established US-based manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. You will manage all financial aspects of the manufacturing operations, including budgeting, variance analysis, cost control, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has a solid accounting background, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail. Prepare journal entries, perform month-end close, and support audits while ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in general ledger (GL) functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• In-depth understanding of GAAP.
• Strong experience with budgeting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and cost control.
• Excellent knowledge of financial and accounting procedures, including audit procedures and the creation of financial statements.
• Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Proven experience with bank reconciliation, invoices, credit memos, RMAs, collections, and cost analysis.
• Experience assisting with both internal and external audits.
• Knowledge of local and state regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the overall accounting operations of the manufacturing plant.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring all business transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis and cost analysis.
• Manage the budgeting process, including preparing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and making necessary adjustments.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, credit memos, RMAs, and collections.
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage fixed asset accounting.
• Assist with both internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with local and state regulatory requirements.
• Prepare balance sheets and income statements.
• Reconcile accounts at the end of the month (EOM).

• Work closely with other departments to improve financial efficiency and profitability.
