Job summary

ITAC Solutions has a client in manufacturing seeking a Plant Accountant to own the plant’s accounting function on-site, partnering with operations leadership for financial impact and cross-entity exposure.

You’ll become the sole accounting professional at the facility, handling month-end close, variances, and reporting while supporting HR/payroll and IT coordination.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of full cycle accounting experience.
• Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Manufacturing, plant accounting, or cost accounting experience strongly preferred.
• ERP experience required.
• Advanced Excel and data-analysis capabilities.
• Independent on-site work as sole accounting professional.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close, journal entries, GL reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Analyze daily production variances and provide reporting to finance leadership.
• Prepare daily sales reports, bank reconciliations, cash applications, AP, and AR activities.
• Manage customer invoicing, EDI uploads, AR aging, and collections.
• Partner with plant management on cost savings and operational improvements.
• Support internal controls and annual audit requirements.
• Serve as the local liaison for HR/payroll and coordinate first-level IT support.

What You’ll Be Doing
