Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a Plant 2 Lead Production Operator for 1st shift in Springfield, MO. Directly responsible for the complete operation of a designated production area. Regular full-time role with responsibilities spanning scheduling, staffing decisions, quality control, training, and safety compliance.

The position requires supervisory experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 2–4 years in production. A fast-paced environment and strong teamwork/communication skills are valued.

• Oversee the daily scheduling of production lines using published production backlog
• Assist in hiring decisions and the selection of department personnel for assignment of duties, promotion, transfer, and discharge, including evaluations and performance reviews
• Maintain product quality using workmanship standards, assembly instructions, test procedures, and other applicable documentation
• Conduct training of assigned personnel
• Maintain safety of work area according to company safety requirements
