Job summary

EnerSys in Springfield, MO is seeking a Plant 2 EHS Technician for the D shift to support safety, health, and regulatory compliance at the site.

You will assist the Senior Safety Engineer with air monitoring, safety audits, training, PPE logistics, recordkeeping, and incident investigations, working in a manufacturing environment.

This role requires hands-on tasks, respirator use, and occasional travel for training and certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years related experience in manufacturing, safety, or industrial hygiene.
• English language proficiency.
• Ability to operate basic measurement and calculation tasks.
• Willingness to obtain CAOHC certification.
• Ability to work irregular hours and travel for training.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct air monitoring and lead safety measurements.
• Perform safety audits, walkthroughs, and reviews.
• Prepare, schedule, and conduct safety training.
• Coordinate PPE, first aid supplies, and equipment upkeep.
• Maintain databases of training, test results, and inspections.
• Investigate incidents and assist corrective actions.
• Lead or participate in safety committees and ergonomic reviews.
