Job summary

Vivo Infusion is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Plano team. The role involves greeting patients, assisting medical staff, and delivering safe, compassionate care in line with guidelines.

The candidate should have prior administrative experience, strong initiative, and the ability to work independently. This part-time position reports to the Clinical Operations Manager and requires flexibility in schedule, including Monday through Saturday, with travel to regional clinics as

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• Medical Assistant Certification is preferred.
• CPR/BLS is required prior to start date.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience is required.
• At least 1 year in an administrative, patient-facing, or customer service role.

Responsibilities

• Performs various patient care activities in line with standards of practice.
• Rooms patients in person or virtually and updates chart with required info.
• Communicates data to providers and nurses to ensure continuity of care.
• Provides front-end support: greet patients, scheduling, calls, payments.
• Oversees effective turnover of exam rooms and assists providers as needed.
• Collects, prepares, and submits ordered lab specimens.
• Obtains prior authorizations for prescribed treatments.
• Triages patient calls and documents them properly.
• Orders and manages supplies under manager guidance.
• Maintains HIPAA confidentiality and infection control guidelines.
