Vivo Infusion is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Grand Rapids, MI team. You will welcome patients, assist medical staff, and provide safe, compassionate care aligned with guidelines.

Qualified candidates will have prior administrative experience, strong initiative, and ability to work independently. Full-time schedule with day shifts and competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required prior to start.
• Minimum 1 year in a clinical setting.
• Minimum 1 year in administrative or patient-facing role.
• Phlebotomy and lab processing skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of patient care activities rendering quality patients in accordance with standards of practice.
• Room clinic patients in person or virtually and update patient chart with required information.
• Communicate pertinent patient data to providers and nurses to ensure quality and continuity of patient care.
• Provide administrative and front-end support: greet patients, assist with scheduling, manage calls, and process payments.
• Oversees and ensures efficient turnover of exam rooms.
• Assist provider in the exam room as requested.
• Collect, prepare, and submit ordered patient lab specimens as directed.
• Assist Patient Services team to obtain prior authorizations and documents.
• Triage patient calls and messages and document them appropriately.
• Orders and manages supplies under the direction of manager.
• Disinfect and stock the exam rooms.
• Assist in obtaining records for the patient’s chart.
• Demonstrate effective communication and report issues during treatment day.
• Follow policies and CDC guidelines for infection control.
