Job summary

Intertek is seeking an Entry Level HVAC Technician I to join the Plano, Texas team. You will assist with setting up HVAC test apparatus, operating equipment, and recording data under supervision. This role offers hands-on training and exposure to a wide range of testing activities within the Electrical team.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts are available with a shift differential for later shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• No prior experience is required; training provided.
• Ability to utilize basic shop equipment and hand tools.
• Ability to review, understand, and convey technical information effectively.
• Ability to follow simple instructions and handle standard tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Valid driver’s license with reliable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Set up test apparatus.
• Operate HVAC testing equipment.
• Maintain test equipment and facilities.
• Prepare test samples.
• Record test data according to standards.
• Perform basic analysis of test data and routine calculations.
• Draft technical reports as needed.
• Perform other work as required.
