Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related field preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret maps, plats, codes, and ordinances.

Responsibilities

• Answer zoning questions and review building permits for zoning compliance.
• Process zoning actions: conditional use permits, rezonings, subdivisions, site plans, variances, and appeals.
• Prepare staff reports and agenda materials; maintain planning records and public notices.
• Use GIS to create maps and exhibits; coordinate with engineering, public works, and other departments.
• Support updates to the General Plan and development code; conduct site inspections.
