Job summary

IEM is seeking a Planning Systems Manager to oversee ERP planning modules at our Fremont, CA site, with additional opportunities in Jacksonville, FL or Vancouver, BC, or remote within the US. You will partner with IT, supply chain, and BI teams to optimize S&OP, demand and inventory planning, and to translate business needs into technical solutions using INFOR/SyteLine and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Information Systems, SCM or Analytics, 5+ years in ERP

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ERP systems administration, supply chain IT, or planning systems in manufacturing.
  • ERP experience required; INFOR/SyteLine experience highly preferred.
  • BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) experience; BI development or reporting experience preferred.
  • Experience leading ERP implementation or enhancement projects.
  • Strong Excel/SQL data querying skills.
  • Experience in S&OP or supply chain planning environment preferred.
  • ASCM CPIM certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated career growth and leadership potential.

Responsibilities

  • Act as ERP planning SME for configuration, planning parameters, and data integrity.
  • Lead IT projects related to supply chain planning, ERP upgrades, and integrations.
  • Partner with BI team to define requirements and guide dashboard/report development.
  • Develop and maintain BI reports/dashboards for S&OP, demand, supply, and inventory KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities to automate planning via system tools and BI solutions.
  • Ensure ERP planning data accuracy and resolve discrepancies with IT/ops teams.
  • Train planning team on ERP and BI tools.
  • Document configurations, data definitions, and user guides.
  • Stay current on INFOR/SyteLine capabilities and advocate new features.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, IT and BI teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement of system capabilities and data quality.

Position Summary:

IEM is currently seeking a Planning Systems Manager for our Jacksonville, FL, Fremont, CA, or Vancouver, BC locations, or may be performed remotely within the US and will report into the Director of Planning.

Please note: This position is open to candidates based in or near our Jacksonville, FL, Fremont, CA, or Vancouver, BC offices, as well as remote candidates located within the US.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary supply chain subject matter expert on ERP system configuration, planning parameters, and data integrity for the planning organization
  • Lead and support IT projects related to supply chain planning, including ERP enhancements, system upgrades, module implementations, and integrations
  • Partner with the company's BI development team as the planning function's liaison to define requirements, validate outputs, and guide the development of dashboards and reports
  • Develop, maintain, and improve BI reports and dashboards to support S&OP, demand planning, supply planning, and inventory KPI visibility
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual planning processes through system tools, macros, or BI solutions, and drive implementation in partnership with IT
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within ERP planning modules, investigating and resolving system discrepancies in collaboration with IT and operations teams
  • Train and support planning team members on effective use of ERP and BI tools
  • Document system configurations, data definitions, and user guides for planning-related tools and processes
  • Stay current on INFOR/SyteLine capabilities and roadmap, evaluating and recommending relevant system features to improve planning processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in ERP systems (INFOR/SyteLine strongly preferred) and BI tools, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data structures, identify root causes of system issues, and develop effective solutions
  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate business requirements to IT partners
  • Project Management: Capability to manage multiple concurrent IT projects, priorities, and stakeholders effectively
  • Collaboration: Strong cross-functional partnership skills to work effectively with Supply Chain, Operations, IT, and BI development teams
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Proactively identifies opportunities to improve system capabilities, data quality, and user experience
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ERP systems administration, supply chain IT, or a planning systems role within a manufacturing environment
  • ERP expertise required; INFOR/SyteLine experience highly preferred
  • Experience using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) required; experience as a BI development partner or report developer preferred
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading ERP implementation or enhancement projects
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, or other data querying tools preferred
  • Experience working within an S&OP or supply chain planning environment preferred
  • ASCM CPIM certification preferred
  • Demonstrated career ambition with a track record of growth and increasing responsibility; highly promotable with the potential to take on broader leadership roles within a fast-paced, high-growth organization

Compensation actually offered for this role will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

Fremont, CA Compensation Range: $161,060 – 187,460 USD
