Position Title: Planning Supervisor – Planning and Material Control

Department : Supply Chain Management

Entity: U.S. Cell Manufacturing (USCM)

Reports To: Manager, Planning and Material Control

Location: Jeffersonville, Indiana

Position Summary:

The Planning Supervisor oversees the operations of the Planning team under Planning and Material Center, which is responsible for planning and controlling materials used in the Cell Business Unit (BU) located in Indiana, U.S.A.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Manage and oversee the Planning team while working closely with Material Center, Data Analysis, and Warehouse teams.
2. Provide leadership, guidance, and constructive feedback to planners to enhance team functionality and support staff development.
3. Collaborate with headquarters to review and adjust production targets as needed.
4. Plan and schedule daily production outputs to align with cell manufacturing requirements.
5. Assess inventory levels and delivery timelines to support production targets.
6. Monitor potential material shortages, develop contingency plans, and stay informed about market trends and supply chain dynamics.
7. Collaborate with key functions, including Production, Warehouse, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Quality, to ensure seamless manufacturing operations.
8. Manage and maintain MRP data, investigating anomalies in material usage to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
9. Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within planning operations.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain activities with overarching business goals.
11. Leverage and manage SAP systems for effective control and daily operations.
12. Support ISO 9001 activities.
13. Participate in weekly planning and purchasing conference calls.
14. Provide additional support by taking on departmental tasks during staff absences.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. A master’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or related fields is preferred; a bachelor’s degree is required.
2. Over 3 years of management experience in supply chain or material planning within a multinational corporation manufacturing environment.
3. Demonstrated success in delivering strong quantitative results.
4. Proven experience managing a fast-moving environment.
5. Extensive knowledge of ERP platforms or SAP is a significant advantage.
6. Proven leadership and communication skills in managing junior staff.
7. Proficiency in written and spoken English is required; bilingual proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable.
