Position Title: Planning Supervisor – Planning and Material Control

Department: Supply Chain Management

Entity: U.S. Cell Manufacturing (USCM)

Reports To: Manager, Planning and Material Control

Location: Jeffersonville, Indiana

Position Summary

The Planning Supervisor oversees the Planning team within the Planning and Material Center, responsible for planning and controlling materials used in the Cell Business Unit in Indiana, U.S.A.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the Planning team, collaborating closely with Material Center, Data Analysis, and Warehouse teams.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and feedback to enhance team performance and staff development.
  • Coordinate with headquarters to review and adjust production targets as needed.
  • Plan and schedule daily production outputs to meet manufacturing requirements.
  • Assess inventory levels and delivery timelines to support production.
  • Monitor potential material shortages, develop contingency plans, and stay informed about supply chain trends.
  • Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain and manage MRP data, investigating anomalies for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within planning operations.
  • Align supply chain activities with business goals through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Utilize SAP systems for effective control and daily operations.
  • Support ISO 9001 activities.
  • Participate in weekly planning and purchasing meetings.
  • Assist with departmental tasks during staff absences.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A master’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or related fields is preferred; a bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Over 3 years of management experience in supply chain or material planning within a multinational manufacturing environment.
  • Proven success in delivering strong quantitative results.
  • Experience managing a fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of ERP platforms or SAP is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills for managing junior staff.
  • Proficiency in English is required; bilingual proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable.
