The role provides hands-on leadership to Production Planners, Schedulers, and Production Control personnel, with a focus on accurate planning, communication, and timely execution of production schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
• 2-4 years supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the daily activities of the Production Planning, Scheduling, and Production Control team.
• Coordinates with Production leadership to develop and execute production schedules that support on-time customer delivery.
• Monitors production schedules and works with manufacturing supervisors to resolve scheduling conflicts and production constraints.
• Ensures accurate job sequencing to optimize efficiency and minimize lead times.
• Tracks schedule adherence and recommends schedule adjustments based on shop floor conditions.
• Escalates work order delays, material shortages, and capacity concerns to management while coordinating timely resolutions.
• Maintains accurate production schedules and planning data within the ERP/MRP system.
• Assists in estimating manufacturing times for assemblies and supports continuous improvement efforts to improve production flow and reduce cycle times.
• Tracks and reports production planning KPIs to management.
• Promotes standardized planning processes and supports Lean Manufacturing initiatives within the department.
• Trains, coaches, and develops planning team members while fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Performs additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
