Job summary

Industrial Electric Manufacturing in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Planning Supervisor to lead the production planning team and align schedules with customer delivery needs. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.
• 5+ years in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
• 2-4 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with multiple product lines or high-mix/low-volume production.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Sales and Customer Service.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems; S&OP exposure is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily activities of the Production Planning, Scheduling, and Production Control team.
• Coordinates with Production leadership to develop and execute production schedules for on-time delivery.
• Monitors schedules and resolves conflicts with manufacturing supervisors to minimize lead times.
• Ensures accurate job sequencing to optimize efficiency.
• Tracks schedule adherence and suggests adjustments based on shop floor conditions.
• Escalates delays, material shortages, and capacity concerns to management and coordinates resolutions.
• Maintains production schedules and planning data within the ERP/MRP system.
• Assists in estimating manufacturing times and supports continuous improvement to improve flow and reduce cycle times.
• Tracks and reports production planning KPIs to management.
• Promotes standardized planning processes and Lean initiatives.
• Trains and develops planning team members and fosters collaboration.
• Performs additional duties to support departmental objectives.
