Position Details:

• Position Type: Full Time (initially 3 years, with potential for extension based on performance and business needs)
• Job Location: Houston, TX (with travel to Gonzales, LA)

• Compensation: $65.00 - $77.00/hr

The Company: Our client is a U.S.-based international corporation specializing in gases and chemicals for industrial use.

Position Summary:

The Senior Planning/Scheduling Engineer (EPC) develops, maintains, and analyzes project schedules to support EPC project execution. Responsibilities include collaborating with project teams to develop detailed work plans, monitor progress, and identify schedule risks and opportunities.

Key duties involve developing schedules using Primavera P6, monitoring progress, analyzing impacts of changes, and providing schedule reports and recommendations to optimize project delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field; 15+ years of experience in EPC mega projects in relevant industries may substitute.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Experience in project management principles, schedule development, resource and risk management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and report on critical path plans and schedules under the Lead Planner's guidance.
• Participate in project planning, schedule development, and updates.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve scheduling issues and provide updates.
• Perform schedule analysis, resource loading, and integration of project changes.
• Attend meetings and facilitate schedule-related discussions.

Work Location:

Initially from Houston, TX office with weekly visits to contractor offices; post-engineering, work from the Gonzales, LA project site.
