Job summary

Tate Americas is seeking a Planning & Buying Manager in St. Paul to align production capacity, material availability, and supply execution with business demand.

You will lead capacity planning, master scheduling, and replenishment strategies while driving continuous improvements in planning accuracy and inventory performance. The role requires strong analytical capability, supply chain expertise, and leadership within a manufacturing environment, with direct responsibility for supplier contracts

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of capacity planning, supply chain planning, or production planning in manufacturing.
• Experience leading S&OP and cross-functional planning processes.
• Experience managing inventory, replenishment strategies and material planning.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead capacity planning across manufacturing to align resources with forecasted demand.
• Develop master production and material plans based on demand and constraints.
• Head divisional S&OP with Operations, Sales, Logistics, Procurement and Finance.
• Analyze demand patterns, inventory positions, and capacity utilization for plans.
• Define operating capacity limits to support service and production objectives.
• Balance workloads across sites to maximise service levels and efficiency.
• Identify capacity risks and develop mitigation plans to maintain supply continuity.
• Own material availability and replenish raw materials and components.
• Plan and execute purchase orders against supplier contracts.
• Monitor inventory levels and optimise stock to balance service levels.
