Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, or related field; a Master's degree preferred.
• 7 years experience in production planning or supply chain management with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain principles, and materials management.
• Proficiency in production planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities with a track record of improvements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across departments.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production planning strategies aligned with goals and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with the VP of Supply Chain to set planning objectives and KPIs.
• Monitor sales trends and demand forecasts to adjust production plans accordingly.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the planning team, fostering continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Set performance goals for the planning team and review progress regularly.
• Provide guidance on complex planning issues and escalate to the VP as needed.
• Schedule development: create detailed multi-level production schedules aligned with master plan.
• Capacity planning: analyze capacity and resources, adjust schedules to optimize utilization.
• Scenario planning: develop contingency plans for disruptions; run what-if analyses.
• Schedule optimization: refine schedules using JIT/TOC with floor teams.
• Real-time monitoring: track progress and adjust delays; ensure targets met.
• Integration with supply chain: coordinate procurement and logistics with schedules.
• Compliance and documentation: maintain schedules per policies and report deviations.
• Collaborate with procurement for timely materials availability.
• Optimize inventory levels to balance cost and service.
• Monitor material usage and minimize waste.
• Serve as liaison among planning, production, procurement, engineering, QA.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings to review plans and upcoming projects.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align on goals and timelines.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce lead times.
