Job summary

Collier County is seeking a Permit Technician to join the Planning Office in Naples, FL. You will collect, organize, evaluate, and report planning data, review permit applications, and assist property owners, contractors, architects, and the public.

You will provide customer service and clerical support for building and development permits, verify licenses, process documentation, collect fees, and help ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Processes land use petitions and site development plans and distributes to appropriate divisions for review.
• Verifies contractor licenses and processes permit applications.
• Issues permits, calculates and collects fees, maintains records of monies collected, and prepares deposits.
• Provides planning, zoning information to the public and other employees.
