Job summary

DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Planning Modeler Manager to support the Arizona Travel Demand Model (AZTDM). You will collaborate with GIS staff, planners, engineers and consultants to produce, share and interpret modeling output data for decision making.

The role may offer remote work within Arizona, with a focus on delivering technical documentation, model runs, and data analytics to support statewide transportation planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, statistics, civil engineering, Urban Planning, GIS, or other relevant degree.
• Five years minimum experience in department of transportation, traffic modeling, data analytics reporting.
• Master's Degree preferred in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Coding the modeling network input data files using planning software.
• Performing complex analysis for statewide transportation modeling to support data-driven decisions.
• Submitting, monitoring, and managing model runs with the GUI of the statewide travel demand model.
• Producing technical documentation including workflows, metadata, and reports for internal and external customers.
