Job summary

Simple Modern in Oklahoma is seeking a planning analyst to join the cross-functional Planning team. You will analyze sales, monitor category trends, support company goals, and create forecasts that inform purchase decisions.

The role focuses on substitution behavior stockouts across ecommerce and retail, reviewing inventory, evaluating where demand transfers, and building AI-powered data analyses to drive stock availability and revenue.

Qualifications

Familiarity with Excel and data sets.
Curious and willing to solve ambiguous problems.
Able to explain your analysis out loud and defend the assumptions in it.

Responsibilities

Analyze physical retail performance by store. Analyze each store’s performance to answer the question: what sells best in which stores, and why?
Assist in Amazon purchase order review and acceptance.
Review Amazon’s weekly inventory coverage and supply health.
Monitor inbound containers and supply chain for inventory constraints and communicate urgency to assist the Operations team.
Build an analysis that tracks how designs perform relative to average. We consistently bring fresh designas to our customers, and a big part of buying properly to support demand is having data to support which designs are most likely to resonate with customers.
Weekly variance report versus forecast. Analyze the prior week’s sales versus our forecast and investigate what drove the variance.
