The Planning team is positioned at the intersection of Merchandising, Sales, Finance and Operations. We analyze sales, monitor category trends, support company goals, and create forecasts that fuel our purchase decisions. We function as a highly collaborative team focused on making sure we have the right product at the right time at the right price.
When one of our SKUs is unavailable, some customers buy a different color or size from us and some buy nothing. This project will entail reviewing stockouts on our eCommerce sales channels and measuring where and at what rate sales transfer to other in‑stock products, by product type. Your goals will be to determine which products have the highest loss exposure to a stockout and to establish a loss or transference ratio matrix by product. You’ll build an AI‑powered model to pull and clean data, analyze where demand transfers and where it disappears, and stress test your conclusions.
