Job summary

Matheson Tri-Gas in Tennessee is seeking an experienced planning leader to manage, develop and motivate the planning team, implement policies and procedures, and generate forecasting metrics for strategic accounts. You will streamline procurement, monitor scheduling and order processing, verify data for downstream teams, and communicate daily with sales and customer service to meet customer needs.

A Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain and 4–6 years of APICS/Lean/Six Sigma leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain or related field.
• 4-6 years of formal training or certification in APICS, Lean Manufacturing, Process Excellence and or Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop and motivate planning employees.
• Implement policies and procedures.
• Generate forecasting metrics for strategic accounts.
• Streamline procurement processes, remove barriers, and support internal customer requirements.
• Monitor planning team scheduling and order processing.
• Perform data verification prior to submission to downstream teams to ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability.
• Communicate daily with sales and customer service regarding customer needs.
• Drive efficiencies, develop strategies and influence performance results on key metrics.
• Apply manufacturing planning knowledge to create factory production plans to optimize both desired supply and factory operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
