Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning or an environmental field.
• 10+ years of experience managing planning and environmental projects, especially transportation.
• Knowledge of the National Environmental Policy Act and implementation processes, including alternatives analysis, impact assessment, and public involvement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development activities including direct client interaction and engagement
• Build and oversee a team of environmental professionals, providing coaching and supporting career development
• Procure, manage, and execute planning and environmental projects for Garver's Transportation business line
• Project management, sub-consultant coordination, project/task scheduling, contract scope and fee development/negotiations
• Lead environmental/planning document preparation and public involvement activities
• Provide technical competency to serve as a project leader and technical advisor on planning and environmental projects
• Participate in marketing activities such as proposal and letter of interest production, interviews, and other presentations
• Foster collaboration between engineering and environmental teams and specialized service providers
