Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Planning and Delivery Leader to manage production schedules and coordinate material requirements for a fast-paced manufacturing supply chain. Two openings: one in Design Make and one in Machining.

Travel up to 25% domestically may be required. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure continuity of supply, maintain ERP/SAP data integrity, and drive lean improvements within the Rolls-Royce Production System while reporting to the P&C

Qualifications

• Associate degree and 4+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain planning, purchasing or manufacturing or business management.
• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain planning, purchasing or manufacturing or business management.
• Master's degree or JD/PhD would be a plus.
• 6+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain planning, purchasing or manufacturing or business management in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure continuity of supply to the manufacturing facilities.
• Utilize knowledge of production flow and load and capacity planning to build credible supplier delivery commitments.
• Manage data integrity in SAP and ensure ERP compliance is maintained.
• Effectively manage cost by executing a balanced delivery and inventory plan based on customer requirements.
• Communicate and schedule long-term delivery commitments and coordinate recovery plans for critical parts.
• Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives through the Rolls-Royce Production System and other problem-solving methodologies.

Position Summary

As the Planning and Delivery leader, you will manage delivery schedules and directly report into the P&C Manager. Please note, there are two Planning and Delivery Leader openings with one role in Design Make and one role in Machining. You will play an integral role in the preparation, planning, and issuing and controlling production schedules along with coordinating material requirements, to ensure a controlled flow for approved materials is timed to meet production. This is an exciting opportunity, as you’ll work with cross-functional teams whilst also working to advise management of the status of work and work to overcome potential production obstacles. The core accountabilities for this role include supplier relationship management and planning delivery schedules for a given mix of suppliers. This is a fast paced, highly visible role supporting the North American external supply chain delivering to internal customers. You must be open to traveling up to 25% of the time domestically.
