Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Mankato, MN seeks a Sr. Planner/Scheduler to lead production planning and balance demand with supplier performance, inventory, and material availability.

You will liaise across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations to deliver on-time production plans. The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, KPI monitoring, and continuous improvement projects to optimize performance.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident; must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD) preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Experience with S&OP, demand planning, and capacity planning processes.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Optimize inventory levels by managing safety stock, monitoring excess and obsolete inventory, and adjusting purchase orders to support production requirements while meeting supplier delivery targets.
  • Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and capacity planning to align production with customer demand and business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics—including On-Time Delivery (OTD), schedule adherence, inventory turns, forecast accuracy, capacity utilization, and past-due orders—to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare performance reports and dashboards for leadership, providing data-driven insights and recommending corrective actions to improve operational performance.
