Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years in production planning, supply chain, or data analytics.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency; SQL and ERP implementation experience preferred.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and data-driven critical thinking.
  • Adaptability to tight deadlines and willingness to work extended hours during peak workloads.

Responsibilities

  • RFQ Management: Oversee the intake and processing of commercial RFQs.
  • Order Review: Validate incoming orders against inventory capacity and manufacturing constraints prior to acceptance.
  • Demand Optimization: Map customer demand to optimal raw material SKUs to minimize conversion costs and maximize yield.
  • Business Intelligence: Develop reports, KPIs, and data analyses to support Business Unit objectives.
  • Inventory Control: Manage finished goods stock levels, evaluate SKU turnover, and optimize inventory health.
  • Financial Modeling: Analyze the financial impact of various scheduling options and present recommendations to leadership.
  • Strategic Scheduling: Identify customer ordering patterns to improve predictability and scheduling efficiency.

Join the Oregon Steel Mills team in Portland as a Planning Analyst. Base salary starts at $75,000 per year with monthly incentive bonus opportunities. Key Responsibilities
  • RFQ Management: Oversee the intake and processing of commercial Requests for Quote (RFQs).

  • Adaptability: Ability to manage tight deadlines and willing to work extended hours as needed during peak workloads.
