Job summary

FirstEnergy in York, PA, is seeking a Lines Planner/Scheduler to support short-range planning and scheduling of distribution work. You will coordinate with operations, crews, and contractors to optimize resources and ensure safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include maintaining work queues, developing two-week plans, tracking progress, and providing reports and metrics to management. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, with strong planning, communication, and IT

Qualifications

• Education - Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related discipline plus 1-2 years related work experience.
• In lieu of Bachelor's Degree, minimum of 3 years related work experience is required in planning/scheduling.
• Professionalism to work with engineers and management and interface with customers and the public.
• Self-motivation and ability to multitask with competing priorities.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with PC software including SAP, GIS, CREWS, FEWS, PowerOn, CAD/AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Knowledge of planning/scheduling best practices, NESC, NEC, and CGES.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and direct a solid commitment to safety.
• Plan and schedule activities, manage work queue, staffing, tools and permits.
• Establish work dates, adjust schedules daily due to resources.
• Reflect crew assignments in FEWS and dispatch daily.
• Create the troubleman/serviceman schedule and assign work.
• Coordinate with groups to establish job start and completion dates.
• Develop two-week plans and one-month projections for management.
• Provide technical reports and metrics for compliance and improvements.
