Job summary

TMEIC is seeking a Production Planner to plan and schedule short- and long-term manufacturing processes for large industrial power electronics equipment. You will bring plan production tasks and schedules according to client orders, coordinate with production management to improve runtime, and develop plans for approval by managers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent via education and/or work experience.
• 2 years of production planning experience in an assembly production environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Bring Plan production tasks and schedules according to client orders.
• Plan and coordinate production activities to improve runtime, in collaboration with production management.
• Develop and review production plans with managers for approval.
• Adjust assembly build plans to ensure production goals are achieved.
• Report material availability data and conditions affecting production continuity to production team as needed.
• Review material shortage data and communicate with the Senior Production Planner for resolution.
• Produce shortage reports and collaborate with Procurement and Warehouse to ensure parts are available to meet production demands.
• Review capacity demands and provide feedback to the Senior Production Planner to ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor inventory levels to meet planned inventory goals.
• Develop and issue materials and parts requisitions.
• Release manufacturing work orders to the warehouse for marshalling.
• Update scheduling spreadsheets and production charts.
• Utilize ERP system to generate assembly work orders.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent via education and/or work experience
• 2 years of production planning experience in an assembly production environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
• Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
• Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, and an ERP system
• Availability to travel, [domestically and internationally, up to 5%,] sometimes with limited notice

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Oracle
• 5 years’ total production planning experience in a manufacturing environment
