Materials Planner

Partner with the best

As a Materials Planner, you will plan and schedule material needs for Heavy Duty Gas Tech Services Modules according to production schedules. Collaborate with Operations, Technical, and Engineering leaders to meet standards and organizational needs. Lead planning initiatives and develop operational plans for manufacturing activities. Propose improvements in products, processes, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Establish job induction plans based on resources and workload to meet Customer Want Date (CWD) and ensure stable operations.
• Respond to planning queries, collect, analyze, and record job progress data.
• Analyze process data to demonstrate process capability, identify root causes of deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with F&P team to ensure projected volumes align with plans.
• Conduct daily production meetings, share minutes, and follow up on actions.
• Update ERP system with job order information, ensuring accurate reflection of job statuses.
• Negotiate amendments to proposed completion dates with internal and external customers.
• Work with engineering on spare ordering and optimize shop machinery utilization.
• Coordinate with material and operations teams to ensure timely availability of consumables and spares.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma/GED) with 3+ years of experience in materials planning in manufacturing.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface effectively across all organizational levels.
