Michigan State University College of Engineering is seeking a Planner/Inspector/Analyst II to coordinate project meetings and execute business processes during all phases of project delivery. The role involves supervising student employees, ensuring quality through inspections, and collaborating with various stakeholders. Ideal candidates will possess a relevant degree and experience, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Position Summary
The Planner/Inspector/Analyst II (PIA) will coordinate project meetings and execute business processes during all phases of project delivery. This role involves interacting with consultants, vendors, suppliers, and university personnel at all levels, requiring clear and consistent communication to meet project needs.
The PIA may also supervise student employees, training and coordinating their activities to support project delivery. A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are required for traveling between project sites and attending meetings across campus.
Regular attendance is essential; a hybrid schedule is permissible after a successful probation period.

Equivalent to a four-year degree in architecture, engineering, landscape architecture, construction management, urban planning, or related field; three to five years of relevant experience supporting project or engineering teams; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid U.S. driver’s license is required.
Degree in engineering, construction management, or related; experience with estimating, MSU facilities, and MS Office 365; strong communication, problem-solving, customer service, and teamwork skills; ability to multitask, handle confidential information, and work independently on multiple projects.
