Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and local planning laws, codes, and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret complex site plans and blueprints.
• Ability to prepare staff reports and present findings to boards and councils.
• Four years of planning experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Legally authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Confers with developers and the public on land use and design review proposals.
• Performs in-depth analyses of land use and design proposals for compliance with codes.
• Addresses inquiries about planning procedures and regulations from the public and developers.
• Evaluates building and site plans and conducts inspections for compliance.
• Prepares findings of fact and conclusions of law for development applications.
• Attends night meetings and delivers oral presentations.
• Drafts land-use documents including agreements, ordinances, and resolutions.
