Responsibilities

• Handle production planning and control for assigned line(s).
• Coordinate plans to ensure materials align with schedules.
• Manage purchase orders from creation to closing.
• Resolve production control problems and shortages.
• Interface with customers to schedule deliveries as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, purchasing, and operations.
• Maintain good relationships with Outside Vendor Suppliers (OVS).
• Ensure RVN clearance with Receiving Inspection, Purchasing and Accounts within 3 days.

Job description

PPS is seeking an experience Planner II for our semiconductor industry fabrication facility in Hayward. The Planner II manages production planning and control for assigned lines, ensuring timely material availability and schedule adherence. This role coordinates with vendors, purchasing, engineering, and operations to resolve shortages, clear inspections, and maintain quality standards. This is a full-time, permanent position with second-to-none benefits and room for advancement!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all production planning and control issues for assigned production line(s).
• Coordinates production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules.
• Build and maintain good working relationship with Outside Vendor Suppliers (OVS).
• Handles all Purchase order creation, releases, completion and closing.
• Trouble-shoot all production control problems and drive them to correct closure.
• Monitors all process shortages and ensures resolution is attained.
• Builds positive relationships with manufacturing and materials in a quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment.
• Works closely with engineering, quality, purchasing, and other operations staff to ensure functional specs are met, parts are available as needed, and quality is maintained.
• May interface with customers to schedule deliveries or discuss issues.
• Manage Receiving Vendor Notification (RVN) clearance working with Receiving Inspection, Purchasing and Account Operations to clear within 3-day requirement.
