  • Maintain planning parameters and replenishment signals in the ERP system.

  • Track on-time delivery, DOH, and inventory accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning and reduce costs.

Description

The Production Scheduler II is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed production schedules that balance customer demand, inventory objectives, and manufacturing capacity. This role serves as a critical link between planning, manufacturing, procurement, quality, and engineering to ensure material availability and production execution align with business objectives. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with a proactive, collaborative approach to problem solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to optimize customer service, inventory levels, and manufacturing productivity.
  • Monitor schedule attainment and production performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues that may impact delivery commitments or operational objectives.
  • Partner with the Master Scheduler to support capacity planning activities and ensure production schedules are aligned with available resources and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Scheduling, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure materials are available when needed and production plans can be executed efficiently.
  • Manage day-to-day production support activities, including expediting materials, establishing production priorities, and resolving supply chain constraints.
  • Maintain planning parameters and replenishment signals within the ERP system to support efficient inventory management and material flow.
  • Coordinate scheduling activities and inventory movement for outsourced processing operations to ensure timely product availability.
  • Track and support key operational metrics, including on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, schedule adherence, and inventory days on hand (DOH).
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, increase operational efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen overall supply chain performance.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and serve as a key point of coordination between planning, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.

What We Look For

  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field, 1+ years of experience in production scheduling, materials management, or supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • In lieu of a degree, an additional three years of relevant production planning, scheduling, or materials management experience.
  • Experience developing and managing production schedules in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate production constraints and balance changing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, as well as experience using enterprise planning systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions and build strong working relationships with manufacturing, procurement, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with inventory forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory control practices preferred.
  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred.
  • Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to identify opportunities to enhance planning effectiveness and operational performance.
