Job summary

Collier County seeks an intermediate professional to collect, organize, and evaluate planning data, review site development plans for compliance, and present petitions before the Planning Commission. The role includes public-facing duties and coordinated research for planning issues.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree, with one year of related experience preferred; or four years of related experience in planning, permitting, and research. Fingerprinting is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• One (1) year of related experience preferred.
• Candidates without a degree should possess four (4) years of related experience, which must include planning and permitting, progressively responsible administrative, research, and/or paralegal experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts plan review of site development and site improvement plans for compliance with the LDC.
• Presents petitions before the Collier County Planning Commission.
• Provides public with information related to zoning and development regulations.
• Meets owners and residents to discuss planning needs and concerns.
• Provides technical and advisory services to County officials and staff.
