Job summary

Ground Force Worldwide in Idaho is seeking a qualified Production Planner to organize production by demand and quality standards. You will ensure materials are ordered and available, with nesting of steel to optimize material usage.

This is a full-time on-site position with starting wage $24-$28/hr. An excellent planner is organized and results-driven, with strong problem-solving, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems such as Epicor.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a qualified Production Planner to organize production according to demand and quality standards. You will be the one to ensure our S&B materials are ordered and available. Nesting of steel and structural steel to best account for material usage will also be a focus in this roll. This is a full time on site position - no remote work available Starting Wage $24-$28/hr.

An excellent production planner is well-versed in production procedures and ways to optimize them. They are organized and results-driven with great problem-solving skills. Advanced communication and computer skills are very useful for the role.

The goal is to ensure the smooth and cost-efficient flow of our production operations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use nesting software to create efficient layouts, reducing material scrap.
• Implement effective nesting strategies to maximize material yields and flow.
• Determining raw materials and material flow needed to cover production demand.
• Partner with machine operators on the performance of programs and utilize feedback to improve program quality.
• Follow established procedures to maintain plate steel inventory accuracy.
• Release and communicate high priority service, warranty, or rework orders to respective departments.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production scheduling, and Shear & Brake as needed to ensure details, specs, and schedules are properly understood.
• Planning and prioritizing operations into Epicor to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
• Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products into Epicor
• Updating operations with new products and/or engineering revisions
• Perform other duties, assignments and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Specifically Excel
• Strong math and statistics skills
• Problem solving, decision making, and collaboration skills
• Excellent time management skills / organizational and planning skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be highly detail oriented.
• Ability to multi-task and adjust to changes in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems - Epicor preferably
• Working knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, and effectively communicate challenges and concerns
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time (regular sitting and climbing stairs is required).
• Must be able to lift a maximum weight up to 50 lbs.
