Job summary

Hog Technologies in Stuart, FL, is seeking a Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations Monday–Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., on-site. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, safety, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities include supervising mechanics, coordinating with fabrication and engineering, reviewing drawings, and managing vendor relations. A bachelor’s degree is preferred; 3+ years in production management and strong Office skills are

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Production Manager.
• Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Experience with chassis, hydraulic, electrical, or plumbing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution(s) to solve problems.
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
• Communicate department strategies, successes, and failures through a variety of means.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and terminate staff.
• Listen to, and resolve, Team Member complaints or issues regarding a variety of matters.
• Work w/Fabrication and Inventory/Purchasing regarding parts availability to properly plan and schedule work.
• Oversee the training of new, and existing, Team Members through Team Leads to include equipment operations or work and safety procedures.
• Review prints in SolidWorks and communicate critical information to Production Team Members, Fabrication and/or Engineering.
• Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
• Attend company meetings to exchange information and coordinate work activities with other departments.
• Prepare reports for management.
• Work with outside vendors to order and request deliveries.
• Review BOMs w/BOM Analyst to ensure correct options are ordered.
• Provide team members with assistance in performing difficult or complicated duties.
• Assist in locating parts, verifying correct parts are ordered/delivered, etc.
• Order shop tools and supplies as necessary.
• Other duties as needed to meet production requirements.

Required Education And Experience

Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required, a combination of education and experience may replace bachelor's preference.

• Minimum 3 years' experience as Manager in a Production Environment.
• Must have strong skills related to Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Must be comfortable performing work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with Chassis, Hydraulic, Electrical, and/or Plumbing systems preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility - this position is responsible for the supervision of a team of mechanics.

Work Environment - this job operates in shop environment where tools and other machinery is used.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work - this is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, this schedule may vary based on the needs of the shop and as assigned by the production supervisor which will change as required based on job duties demand.

Travel - this position may require travel from time to time.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications - must pass background check and drug test.
